South Africa is the most southern country in the African continent and is ranked as the 24th most populated country in the world. It is a multiethnic society with diverse cultures, religions and languages. The country has a temperate climate, a range of climatic zones brought about by the varied oceanic influence and topography. When we talk of South Africa, we talk of several things but we do not forget about its diverse wildlife, it’s more than 20,000 plant species and its 4,900 classes of fungi including lichen. South Africa is home to the fynbos, king protea(national flower), the blue crane (national bird) and the beautiful flowers found in the West Coast National Park.
